The Whyalla skatepark is a health hazard.
I found pads, nappies, a melted bong and general rubbish.
Plenty of graphic graffiti.
Massive concrete blocks thrown in stagnant putrid water.
It has been left to wreck and ruin.
I realise vandals will vandalize so why not be more vigilant and stay on top of it.
Security cameras up high enough that they can’t be tampered with.
Large clear signage with a message of respecting this area or culprits found will need to partake in community service.
Fixing what they have contributed to destroy.
Maybe get D’faces to do a street art workshop to actually cover the profanity.
I’m sure there are a million improvements that could be funded by a grant or by fund raising.
It’s everyone’s responsibility to look out for our children by providing safe clean environments for them to express themselves and exercise.
Cost shouldn’t be a factor.
Where else can all kids of all ages access free entertainment?
I am truly disgusted with the people responsible for this garbage dump but I am equally disappointed that a blind eye is being turned.
It’s not good enough.
Something needs to be done.
