The afternoon allows the club committee to announce coaches and teams for the 2014 season.

All players and parents will have the opportunity to meet coaches and team mates, as well as co-ordinate training afternoons. All other available information will also be handed out to parents regarding the 2014 South West Slopes Soccer Association competition.

Harden Soccer Club has nominated 10 teams in this year’s SWSSA competition with teams nominated from the Under 5 age group through to the Under 14/15/16 division.

South West Slopes Soccer Association is again implementing the small-sided game for the Under 5 age group. Small sided soccer has been especially designed for young children.

There are fewer players on the field which allows them to have more contact with the ball. This aids in the development of young soccer players with a strong focus on maximum participation and enjoyment. Small-sided soccer has been endorsed in many countries like Brazil, England and Japan and now Australia is joining in.

The club had an outstanding year in 2013 with two teams winning their respective grand finals: the Under 9 Bendigo Bank and the Under 14/15/16 Lubealloy. They both defeated Tumut team in the grand finals.

To cap the club’s year off Emma Manwaring and Jessica Doolan were both selected to represent NSW Country at the 2013 National Championships held in Coffs Harbour.

If you cannot make this afternoon enquiries can be made to Allison Manwaring on 0429 193 453.
